People are starting to notice—and we love that. This website and our Instagram (not yet created) are on the way to help you keep track of everything from new vendors to random-but-perfect finds. We’re still figuring out what makes you stop and stay a while, but one thing’s for sure: if you’re here, you’re part of what makes this place work. At SHIPOOPI at Courtyard Heathers, we believe in the magic of the unexpected — a perfectly imperfect lamp, a vintage brooch with a story to tell, or a hand-crafted treasure you didn’t even know you were looking for. So when it came to naming our boutique, we turned to something just as unexpected: SHIPOOPI.

From Broadway to the Boutique

The word “SHIPOOPI” first danced its way into the world in 1957, as part of Meredith Willson’s classic musical The Music Man. It was lively, joyful, a little bit quirky — and entirely made up. In the show, it described a spirited young woman who knows her worth (and makes you work for that first kiss). But the truth? SHIPOOPI doesn’t have to mean just one thing.
